First of all, you didn't capitalize God, but anyway, it isn't punishment. Bad things have happened throughout history so this is no way affiliated with a President of the United States. (PS: I do disagree with Obama.) Secondly, Swine Flu has been around for longer than Obama has been president. There was even a vaccine the government was pushing everybody to take (through commercials), until "complications" arose and it was discontinued. In 8 years of Bush we had two wars and the job market had been failing since 2004. The Stock Market was doing fairly awesome, but the Job market had already begun falling back then.How you got peace and prosperity out of that is beyond me, but whatever.And there was a lot more people killed by the seasonal flu (about 40,000) under Bush than this current swine flu, which has not even reached 200 yet. And only one person in America has died, and he got to America only 4 days before it happened.This is like that whole New Orleans and Katrina thing all over again. Remember? Apparently, you have forgotten about 9/11–where we lost 3,000 people, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars–where we've lost 4,500 people, Anthrax attacks, where we lost a dozen people, Katrina–where we lost 2,000 people. If you call that 'peace and prosperity' I can't possibly help you–seek therapy.
No This isnt the first time we had a swine flue outbreakWe have had one in 1976 and 1988i really think they are making too much of a big deal about this. The regular flu kills thousands each year and is just as transmittable but i dont hear anyone calling it a pandemic. Only one person has died in the us from swine flu because of the good health care we have.
